I know it has been awhile since we talked and that’s because I’m coming out with a transformation program and working with some clients to help them achieve some great results with our products. What I found over the course of this journey is that it is not what you say, it is how you feel about what you say and I wanted to share it with you.

My team and I have been promoting our new program to people who want to change their nutritional habits. We would talk to people on the phone, online and in our local community asking them if they want to transform their health. One of my team mates was having a hard time promoting in her area and she was convinced that it was because people were interested in the quick fix instead of getting healthy. I always tell my team “everyone wants to make more money”, and “everyone wants to be healthy” the problem is, people don’t want to work for it. They would rather get a quick fix then change a habit. I also tell them they have to connect with people in order to get them to listen to what they have to say.

It is really not enough to talk about the facts about diseases and how our product can help prevent them. It is also not enough to talk about how much they can make. It is all about your passion on how you feel about them getting healthy and making money.

Let me give you an example:

Which sentence you think will connect with a prospect the most:

1. With Ardyss International you get paid 10 ways and you can really make alot of money if you find other people who want to join.

2. If you are willing to make a commitment and join my team, I can show you a simple plan that we will implement together in order to help you take advantage of the 10 ways you can get paid in the company so we can reach the short term goals you talked about.

The second one sounds a little bit better right? why? it express team effort, and your commitment to helping that person be successful. I have to tell you, this business is not hard to do. You have to remember that not only are you in a franchise business, but also personal development. In order to really build something, you have to have passion and really feel what you say. The more you grow and develop, the more your organization grows.

Hey guys,

I have to tell you this story because hopefully it will help someone! it will serve as a release for me. So here it goes! As you know I have been working on a new campaign to boost my business. I met with my team, we brainstormed came up with a couple of things and now testing it out to see if it works.

Well, one of the techniques was to call everyone who stop working the business for over a year and see if they made any progress in their life. For the past week we have been getting okay feedback. Some people said “I’m not paying another 300 dollars to join.” others were like ” I still have product that I have not even sold and I wasted a lot of money doing Ardyss.” We were prepared for some of the negative feedback so one of our requirements was to “take no prisoners”, and only talk with those who were interested in hearing and seeing the system and plan we came up with.

I went through my list and came across one of my distributors I sponsored in New York and immediately got that knot in my stomach. She was a great distributor but we had a disagreement sometime back and she exchange some horrible words with me and we decided to call it quits.

I immediately went pass her name but then I started to think “you never know where people are in their life” so I put on my big girl pants and I made the call. At first I had a big lump in my throat and that nervous feeling in my stomach because I did not want the conversation to go the wrong way. We had small talk in the beginning and I told her what we were doing and she said “I enjoyed working with you Gloria and we made a lot of money but to tell you the truth you cost me over 3,000.00 dollars, I got into some serious debt and I am definitely not doing that again.”

So now the battle begins… again…

I had to remind her of the reason why she went into debt. I told her “I asked you to enroll people into your business, not pay their way in! you spent 3,000 enrolling other people who had no intention of working the business which is not what I said.” Before it got to heated I told her “It was an idea that did not work out so well, but now we have something that will work for everyone and I was calling to see if you wanted to take a look.” She took a long pause and said “I have a store now and I am very busy but summer is coming so I will take a look.”

I breathed with a sigh of relief and we laughed and joke a little bit more before we hung up. That was the first time we have spoken since the heated argument over a year ago and to think I was going to pass by her name.

As you know, you everything you are or ever will be is up to you. Everything you want in life, or want to be or achieve is all up to you. You are the only one who puts limits on your imagination and most of that is due to what you have learned over the course of your lifetime and some of the experiences you have experience throughout your life, and because of that, you have developed some habits that is either pushing you towards your goal or further away.

The great thing about all of this is that habits are learnable and you can change your habits at anytime. The people who are successful in Ardyss are not better than you, or smarter than you, they just adopted successful habits throughout the course of their life and applied it to their business and they became successful that’s it, nothing special.

So, now I know you might be asking well what are those habits so I can put them into practice? well I wrote down 10 successful habits you can start to incorporate now to grow your business.

1. Believe in yourself
2. Practice self Discipline
3. Write down your goals and make a plan
4. find and study people who have what you want and copy them
5. Commit to self development
6. Be consistent
7. Don’t Quit
8. Get things done fast
9. Become a master in your field
10. help others by becoming a person of value.

These successful habits will definitely put you on the fast track to being successful in your business. You know psychologist say that it takes approximately 21 days to learn and incorporate a new habit. But if you have written down the list I just gave to you, you will see that if you master the art of belief and self disciple, all the rest will fall into place. leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Okay guys, I have to tell this story because I believe there is a lesson that can come out of it. Now I have not cold call people in awhile and I thought since I was going to be in the house all day brainstorming on my new marketing program for Ardyss I would at least give it a try and see if people like the idea.

So like I always say, I try to stick with people who I know would best fit our opportunity so I decided to call some Mary Kay reps. I went on the Mary Kay website put in a zip code and since their website is on a rotary system it will show you the top seller in that zip code and if you refresh they give you someone below that and on and on.

So, I call the first person I leave a message, second person same thing. Third person lady picks up the phone, I start reading my script and she said “Yes I am interested but how did you get my number?” I told her from the Mary Kay website (which I told her in the beginning of my script) and she got mad and said I was messing up her business and that the website is for clients who come to order stuff not for me to be soliciting. If you had a conversation with me then you know I have a calm personality, but she was really pushing it. She said in a high tone “What about the people who go to the website now and they don’t see my name because you already clicked on it?”

In a calm voice I said “Do you want me to answer it?” she said “No” I’m just letting you know you are messing up my business. I said “okay I can understand how frustrated you must feel but let me ask you one question and then we can hang up”, she said “What is it?” “Would it be okay for me to send you one of my products for free in the mail as a way of apologizing”? I know how important it is to be assessable to clients and I totally violated that by using it for my own gain. So let me send you my product for free as a way to apologize. She said “Well that is very kind of you but I just want you to know when you do go on the site and click it takes away business.” I said I totally understand now all I need is your mailing address to send you the product.

See, that conversation could have gotten ugly very quick. I could have reacted, got upset, hung up or curse her out. But I didn’t, I met her where she was even in her anger and was still able to get what I wanted in the end. I tell you patience is definitely a virtue.
